In accordance with this procedure, any appeal against a decision rendered by the FEI or its official bodies must be settled exclusively by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Reservations must be made directly with the............ Delegations are encouraged to inform the OC with regards to the reservation made. The OC will assist where possible in assuring reconfirmation of reservations made. One meal a day for participant riders and team leaders will be provided at the site of the event.

Travel from airport to the Clube and all stabling arrangements will be provided by the OC.           Cost of bedding and food for the horses will be provided at a fee  of US$ 10.00 (ten) a day, which  will include Hay and Concentrates. Additional feed can be purchased on site (carrots, crushed com) at the owners expense. No food may be imported with the horses. 
Farrier services as well as basic veterinary supplies will be available on site at owners expenses. 

          E – WELCOME 

The time of arrival of the horses and grooms and the means for transport must be given to the OC to facilitate reception on arrival. Accommodations for horses and grooms will be available from August 26.to September 02. 

           F – LOCAL TRANSPORTATION – ARRANGEMENTS FROM TO SHOWGROUND 

Will be provided by the OC from the Blue Tree Park  Hotel to the schowground for all delegations . 

           G – SPONSORS 

Competitors will be allowed to carry the logo of personal sponsors on the saddle clothe in accordance with Art. 136.1.2.

VII – VETERINARY MATTERS (Art. 290, 1004.2, 1005.2.2+2.3, 1011, 1022.1)

1.      A CERTIFICATE OF NON EPIDEMY 

Is compulsory for all horses. Medication control Vet. Regulation Chapter V – VI and Annex III. 

2.      SANITARY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TEMPORARY IMPORTATION OF HORSES. 

          The horses must be covered na official veterinary certificate which states:

-         That the country of origin is officially free from: Horse Epidemics, Durina, Surry, Glanders,                    Epizootic Lymphangitis, Boma’s disease, Genital rash (exantema), Contagious Metritis, Variola, East, West, Salmonelosis, viral Rhimoneumonitis and viral Arteritis. 

-          There have been no cases detected either by laboratory of Anaemia, Influenza, Leptospirosis, Stomatitis  where the horse(s) was/were stabled during the last......days prior the embarkation to......

-          That the horses being exported were isolated from the rest of the horses in the club under the supervision of na official veterinary and during that time showed no signs or symptoms of infectious diseases or of parasites which impede exportation to......., and during that time were treated for internal external parasites. 

3.      VACCINATIONS 

       All the horses must be certified by a veterinary that between the 180 and 15 days before being embarked they were vaccinated for Rabies, Influenza(Equi1 and 2), East and....... Encephalitis and viral Adenitis. 

       Negative result of Coggins Test. 

          4. REQUERIMENTS FOR EXPORTATION OF HORSES TO BRAZIL. 

                Proforma invoice for each horse to the value of US$........ and US$......... for each trunk, specifying its contents (saddle, riding gear, etc.) – separate invoices. 

                The horses are to be consigned to the Brazilian Equestre Federation. 

-          Name and phone of a firm which takes charge of receiving and sending horses to and from Brazil.

       VETERINARY ASPECTS “A” 

THE FOLLOWING TEXT MUST BE PUBLISHED VERDATIM IN ALL SCHEDULES:  VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS, HORSE INSPECTIONS AND PASSPORT CONTROLS

 These will be carried out in accordance with the Vet. Regulations 8th , January 1st , 1998, Art. 1011; Rules for Jumping Events Annex X.

 DATE AND TIME OF THE HORSE INSPECTIONS: 

 They will be held at 28 in the Stable Area on 08.00 at 11.00 and on 29 at, if necessary. 

  GENERAL REGULATIONS 20th  EDITION JANUARY 1 st, 2000 WILL APPLY

  1.      IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 139.1  

Every horse entered for any competition at CSNs, CSIs, Cat. C and CSI J.Y.P. ch. Vs. Cat. B in a foreign country, and all horses entered for CSis Cat. A & B and CSI J.Y.ch. Vs Cat A, CSIOs, Cahmpionships, Regional and Olympic Games, whether at home or in foreign countries, must have a valid official FEI Passport approved by the FEI, accompanied by a FEI recognition card as means of identification and to establish ownership. 

2.    IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 139.2

Horses taking part in CSNs, CSIs Cat, C and CSI J.Y.P. ch Vs Cat. B in their own country are not required to have such a passport as in  mentioned in paragraph 1. All such horses must be properly registered and identifiable. Unless there is no national requirement for equine influenza vaccination in the host country and in the country of origin, all horses must have a valid vaccination certificate. 

3.  EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATION, VET. REGULATION ANNEX VI 

All horses and ponies for which a FEI Passport or National Passport approved by the FEI has been issued must have the vaccination section endorsed by a veterinarian who is not the owner of the animal, stating that it has received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza, given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. In addition, a booster injection must be recorded  as having been given within each succeeding 12 months subsequent to the second injection of the primary vaccination. None of these injections must have been given within the preceding 7 days including the day of the competition or of entry into the competition stables. 

The above are the minimum requirements for influenza vaccination. Both primary and first subsequent booster injections should be given according to the manufacturers instructions which will fall within the stipulation of the FEI ruling. In many cases booster injectios are recommended?required by the manufactures and by national Authorities/Regulatory Authorities  at intervals more frequent than 12 months. 

SAMPLING FOR PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES, VET. REGULATION CHAPTER V & VI AND ANNEX III. 

Special guidelines are applicable for events covered by the FEI’s Medication Control Program (Groups I and II only). At all other international events horses are subject to sampling for Prohibited Substances. Such sampling is compulsory in CSIs Cat. A, CSIOs, World Cup Qualifiers, Cup Finals, Championships and Games, and is recommended for other categories of CSIs.

WELFARE OF THE HORSE    

       CODE OF CONDUCT 

1 – In all Equestrian Sports the horse must be considered paramount. 

2 – The well being of the horse shall be above the demands of breeders, trainers, riders, owners, dealers, organizers, sponsors or officials. 

3 – All handling and veterinary treatment must ensure the health and welfare of the horse. 

4 – The highest standarts of nutrition, health, sanitation and safety shall be encouraged and maintain all times. 

5 – Adequate provisions must be made for : ventilation, feeding, watering, and maintaining a healthy environment during transportation. 

6 – Emphasis should be placed on increasing education in training and Equestrian practices and on promoting studies in Equine Health. 

7 – In the interest of the horse, the fitness and competence of the rider shall be regarded as essential. 

8 – All riding and training  methods must take account of the horse as a living entity and must not include any technique considered by the FEI to be abusive. 

9- National Federations should establish adequate controls in order that the persons and bodies under their jurisdiction respect the welfare of the horse. 

10 – The National and International Rules and Regulations in Equestrian Sports regarding the health and welfare of the horse must be adhered not only to a National and International Events, but also in training. Competition Rules and Regulations should be continually reviewed to ensure such welfare.
